All-optical multifocal-type time-to-space converter module using an optical Kerr gate of a squarylium dye film

Abstract

A 4-ch all-optical time-to-space converter module was developed using an optical Kerr switch of a squarylium dye film and beam splitter units. Conversion of 1-Tb/s equivalent four signal-pulses into parallel signals was demonstrated.
