Complete characterization of fiber laser pulses using real-time spectral interferometry

Abstract

We present a method for complete pulse characterization by frequency -to-time conversion. A demonstration is done with a conventional photodetector and an oscilloscope, measuring time scale stretched pulses of∼1ps duration from a mode-locked fiber laser.
