Temperature tuned external cavity diode laser with micromachined silicon etalons

Abstract

A tunable external cavity diode laser employing micromachined thermally tuned silicon etalons and laser-welding manufacturing is presented. Integral wavelength locking and an efficient calibration method are described. Accurate, stable wavelength and power are discussed.
