Two-dimensional discrete diffraction in silica waveguide arrays

Abstract

The investigation of light propagation in cubic lattices of coupled fused silica waveguides reveals ideal discrete diffraction and demonstrates the excellent quality of the waveguide arrays, which have been manufactured using fs -laser-induced refractive index modifications.
