Noncollinear type-II second harmonic generation in a Al(0.3)Ga(0.7)As/Al2O3 one-dimensional photonic crystal

Abstract

We demonstrate noncollinear phase-matched second harmonic generation in one -dimensional photonic crystal. This crystal was designed, fabricated, and experimentally characterized. We report a factor -four enhancement of the nonlinear coefficient.
