Dominant Causes of Linewidth in DFB Fiber Lasers

Abstract

We present experimental and theoretical results on the linewidth of an Er-Yb doped DFB fiber laser. Recently observed dependencies on pump configuration and power are explained by pump noise induced temperature fluctuations.
