Precise Cavity Length Control in Fiber Optic Extrinsic Fabry-Perot Interferometers

Abstract

A technique to precisely control the cavity length in fiber optic extrinsic Fabry-Perot interferometric structures by CO2 laser is described. The white light monitored laser bonding system can achieve a 3nm cavity control resolution.
