Two-branch Er:fiber laser system for long-term optical frequency metrology

Abstract

We present a fiber-based femtosecond laser for long-term optical frequency measurements. It employs two parallel amplifiers seeded by a single oscillator. The frequency of a cw-laser at 657 nm is coherently monitored over 88 hours.
