Direct generation of 10GHz 816fs pulse train from an asynchronous modelocked Er-fiber laser

Abstract

By employing the technique of asynchronous modelocking (ASM), we have successfully demonstrated the direct generation of stable 10GHz 816fs pulse trains with Super-Mode-Suppression-Ratio >70dB from a hybrid modelocked Er -fiber laser.
