Analysis of the effects of lattice irregularity in photonic crystal fibers

Abstract

Fabrication induced lattice imperfections in photonic crystal fibers are shown through numerical simulations to significantly change the coupling length of a two-core structure while confinement loss and dispersion of a typical fiber are more robust.
