Linear-Polarization, CW Generation of 60W Power in a Single-mode, Tm Fibre Laser

Abstract

Stable, 60W average power, single-mode CW generation in the spectral range 1800-2050nm in linear-polarization format is achieved in Tm-doped fibre pumped at 1567nm. Polarization extinction ratios in excess of 23dB are demonstrated.
