Phase Space Filling Effects on Exciton Dynamics

Abstract

We model phase space filling effects in semiconductors excited via ultrashort optical pulses. We find that at high densities, groundstate excitons are strongly scattered into excited states, even in the absence of exciton-exciton interactions.
