Measurement of small surface displacements by femtosecond laser methods

Abstract

Theoretical and experimental investigations of the measurement of small harmonic surface oscillations with the help of a femtosecond laser are presented. It is shown that the large number of laser radiation modes allows a considerable increase in the signal-to-noise ratio.
