Abstract

We used a thermo-electrically cooled, continuous-wave, quantum cascade laser with wavelength modulation spectroscopy for the detection of nitric oxide at sub-part-per-billion volume (ppbv). The minimal detectable absorption achieved is 9 × 10-9 cm−1Hz−½.
