Mode matching of terahertz radiation to cylindrical wire waveguides

Abstract

We describe a method for dramatically enhancing the coupling of THz radiation to a wire waveguide using a radially symmetric photoconductive antenna. We present both numerical simulations and experimental results showing enhanced coupling.
