Passive Harmonic Mode-locking of a Soliton Yb Fiber Laser at Repetition Rates to 1.5 GHz

Abstract

We report passive harmonic-mode-locking of an Yb-fiber laser at repetition rates continuously scalable to 1.5 GHz. This laser demonstrates an unprecedented combination of high repetition rate, high pulse energy and excellent pulse quality.
