Narrow-band, Intense Terahertz Pulses From a Large-aperture GaAs Frequency Downconverter

Abstract

2 kW, 200 ns pulses were generated in a noncollinear phase-matched GaAs crystal at room temperature. A terahertz source in the range 0.5-3.0 THz with a step of 40GHz is pumped by line-tunable CO2 lasers.
