Dispersion in the Nonlinear Figure of Merit of As2Se3 Chalcogenide Fiber

Abstract

We present the first wavelength-dependent measurements of the nonlinear figure of merit (FOM) in a highly nonlinear As2Se3 chalcogenide fiber, from 1415nm to 1550nm. We find that the FOM decreases to below one at 1415nm.
