Abstract

We demonstrate high temperature-sensitive, wideband-tunable, laser-ablated asymmetric long period fiber gratings with optical polymer overlay. The temperature sensitivity can be as high as 15.8 nm/°C over a wide spectral range from 1545 to 1650 nm.
