Fiber-Coupled Γ-point Photonic Crystal Bandedge Laser

Abstract

We demonstrate a fiber coupling scheme suitable for vertically emitting photonic crystal lasers. The device, capable of efficiently launching and collecting photons from/into a single mode fiber, produced fiber output close to 100 μW.
