Pulse compression techniques using highly nonlinear fibers

Abstract

We review pulse compression technique based on “comb-like profiled fiber (CPF)”, com-prised of alternate concatenations of highly nonlinear fiber and anomalous-dispersion fiber. We show CPF has truly practical and flexible features for optical pulse compression.
