Abstract

Using kinetic-based models we show that photonic crystal fiber Bragg gratings (PCF-BGs) can exhibit enhanced dose-rate absorption capabilities, in comparison to conventional BGs. The modeling aims to assess the physical-mechanisms defining the response to nuclear-radiation.
