A Distance Meter using a Sub-Terahertz Intermode Beat in an Optical Frequency Comb

Abstract

We proposed a novel method of phase measurement of terahertz intermode beat in optical frequency comb, to enhance the dynamic-range of distance meter. Utilizing nonlinear optical process, distance measurement with 130GHz equivalent frequency was realized.
