Non-reciprocal Femtosecond Laser Micromachining

Abstract

We demonstrate both experimentally and theoretically that in a non-centrosymmetric crystal modification of the material can be different when femtosecond laser beam propagates in opposite directions. Our result presents the first evidence of non-reciprocal photosensitivity.
