Passively mode-locked Yb:KY(WO4)2 thin disk oscillator with cavity-dumping

Abstract

We present the first solitary mode-locked thin disk oscillator with cavity-dumping. The laser generates pulse energies of 3 µJ with pulse durations below 700 fs at 1 MHz repetition rate.
