Photonic Crystal Heterostructure Cavity Lasers

Abstract

We demonstrate the lasing characteristics of a photonic crystal heterostructure cavity. Feedback to slow Bloch modes using a heterostructure confinement design produces single mode lasing at 1551 nm.
