Laser Altimeter Measurements from MESSENGER’s Recent Mercury Flybys

Abstract

The performance of the Mercury Laser Altimeter is reported from MESSENGER’s flybys of Mercury in January and October 2008. The instrument ranged to 600 km at >60° incidence angle and 1600 km in nadir direction.
