Amplitude modulation of terahertz quantum cascade lasers by external interband-excitation light

Abstract

We have investigated light-current characteristics of terahertz quantum cascade lasers under external light injection. The light injection induces the modulation of the output power that is explained by the characteristic properties of the laser.
