Effect of Structural Distortion on Fabry-Perot Temperature Response

Abstract

Low expansion glass cavities with optically contacted mirrors can exhibit structural distortions at the mirrors which significantly shift the temperature at which dν/dT = 0. An analytical analysis that incorporates finite element modeling is given.
