Monte-Carlo-Based Spectral Gain Analysis for THz Quantum Cascade Lasers

Abstract

Using a Monte-Carlo analysis, we self-consistently calculate the spectral gain for different types of THz quantum cascade lasers, investigate its temperature-dependent broadening and the influence of carrier-carrier scattering, and compare the results to experimental data.
