A femtosecond Cr4+:forsterite laser generating 1.4W output power

Abstract

By optimizing the thermal properties of crystals, we report a femtosecond Cr:forsterite laser with a highest ever 1.4W output power, which is desired for many applications, including biomedical imaging, studies of fibers, and photonic devices.
