Photonic fiber for flexible sub-20-fs pulse delivery

Abstract

Delivery of sub-20-fs pulses with a spectrally flat phase through 80 cm chirped photonic crystal fiber with chirped-mirror precompensation is experimentally demonstrated. This sets a new record for fiber-based femtosecond pulse delivery.
