Two-Dimensional Electronic Beam Steering in Coherently-Coupled Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser Arrays

Abstract

We demonstrate two-dimensional electronic beam steering using only the in-phase mode of a vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) array. The steering is highly-controllable, and the interference visibility is typically very high.
