Self-Starting Octave-Spanning Ti:sapphire Laser Pumped by an Yb:KLu(WO4)2 Thin-Disk Oscillator

Abstract

We present an octave-spanning Ti:sapphire laser quasi-synchronously pumped by a frequency-doubled Yb:KLu(WO4)2 thin-disk oscillator. The system features a self-starting behavior and can be stabilized with respect to its carrier-envelope-offset phase.
