Dielectric-lined metallic waveguides: mode structure and dispersion at THz frequencies

Abstract

We demonstrate low-dispersion and low-loss THz pulse propagation in dielectric-lined metallic waveguides. Waveguide modes are visualized using THz near-field imaging. Experimental dispersion characteristics and analytical approximations for the propagation constants will be presented.
