Lasing Oscillation in a Three-Dimensional Photonic Crystal Nanocavity with Quantum Dots

Abstract

We successfully demonstrated lasing oscillation in a three-dimensional photonic crystal nanocavity with quantum dots. Increasing the number of stacked layers enhanced a cavity quality factor, leading to a significant reduction in the lasing threshold.
