Compression of Ultra-high Power Laser Pulses.

Abstract

We present easy-scalable pulse recompression method based on spectral broadening due to self phase modulation in bulk medium. Our experiment demonstrates a possibility of compression of high-energy pulses above 1J from 30 to 14 fs.
