Ultra-Short Cavity Distributed Bragg Reflector Er-Doped Fiber Laser for Temperature-Insensitive Bending Measurement

Abstract

We introduce a bending sensor by measuring the beat frequency shift of a DBR fiber laser. The polarization beat frequency of the DBR laser exhibits high sensitivity to fiber bending while immune to temperature change.
