Second Harmonic Generation from AlGaAs High Contrast Gratings

Abstract

Strong second harmonic generation (SHG) is obtained from AlGaAs-based high contrast gratings for the first time. We show that SHG depends on the grating design and its orientation relative to the crystal axes.
