Tailoring of Chirp in Colliding Pulse Mode-locked Diode Laser generating 267 fs Pulses after Compression

Abstract

Collision point and relative intensities of pulses in a passively mode-locked laser were optimized to generate a strong and almost linear chirp. We achieved 267fs pulses with 661W peak power using only quadratic phase compression. © 2010 Optical Society of America
