Abstract
The search for new materials with a large nonlinear optical susceptibility and the simple synthesis of selenium clusters of various crystal structure has caused the investigation of nonlinear optical properties of nanometer-size selenium clusters. Samples of PVA films with a-Se clusters on quartz glass were investigated by picosecond pump-probe laser spectroscopy equipment with two photodiode matrices as detectors. Laser pulses with wavelength of 540 run, duration of 15 ps and repetition frequency of 1 Hz served as pump beam. White continuum was used as probe beam.
