Abstract

CsB3O5 (CBO) is an attractive material for UV generation, since this compound is reported to be transparent out to ~167 pm.1 We have generated tunable UV radiation to near its cut-off wavelength mixing by the fifth harmonic of a Nd: YAG laser at 1.0642 µm and the output of a KTP/OPO pumped by the SHG of the same Nd:YAG laser at 20.0°C.
