Abstract

Progress in constructing digital optically interconnected systems has been accelerated owing to the development of optically addressed photonic devices. Also the present technology is extended to design and fabricate diffractive optical elements that provide additional functionality. It is turned out that the binary phase gratings can be applied to generate the arbitrary pattern as well as the regularly spaced arrays.
