Abstract
In our previous presentation,1 we proposed a new concept of a scanning system for high speed color laser printers. The system exposes two different positions of the photoconductor independently using one diode laser. The color information control is given by changing the intensities of the laser power levels and switching the polarization directions. The laser beam passes through a common scanning system, and is separated into two beams by a polarized beam splitter located between the common scanning optics and the photoconductor. The polarization direction of the laser beam is controlled by an electro-optical device located immediately behind the laser.
