Study of the boron nitride laser ablated plasma plume with nanosecond and femtosecond pulses

Abstract

The plasma plume created above a hexagonal boron nitride target by nanosecond and femtosecond laser ablation is investigated by space-resolved optical emission spectroscopy. The light emitting species are compared in terms of charge state.
