Abstract

The development of a diode pumped solid state laser has made possible to construct a compact lidar system. A portable automated lidar (PAL) was investigated to make possible continuous monitoring of the air pollution and radiative properties of atmosphere, which is prospective for the practical operation and a lidar monitoring network formation.
