Estimation of refraction index dispersion in a polymer waveguide material from the absoption spectrum data

Abstract

We propose a simple method for estimating both refracive index dispersion and thickness of a thin film from the absorption spectrum. This method is applied to quantify photodegradation in a polymer waveguide material.
