Hole drilling of silica glass with infrared femtosecond laser pulses

Abstract

We present experimental results of hole drilling of silica glass with infrared femtosecond laser pulses. High precision holes with diameter of 4μm and depth over 200μm were drilled from rear surface contacted with water.
