Measurement of Distribution of Absorbers Hidden in Highly Scattering Medium by Use of Ultrasonic Phase-Shift due to Laser Illumination

Abstract

We investigated a method for measuring the ultrasonic phase-shift caused by optical absorption to reconstruct the optical tomography. The absorption distribution was obtained in the medium with scattering coefficient equivalent to that of human brain.
