Generation of two-color femtosecond pulses by cross-mode-locking Ti:sapphire and Cr:forsterite lasers

Abstract

We report a dual-color femtosecond laser based on cross-mode-locking of a Ti:sapphire laser (850nm) and a Cr:forsterite laser (1275nm). They were synchronized at a repetition rate of 77-MHz by critically matching cavity lengths.
